Nicole Fetner, MHC Intern

At times, life can place more on our hearts than we are meant to carry alone, and having a supportive space to share can be deeply grounding. My name is Nicole, and I value walking alongside individuals, children, adolescents and families as they navigate life’s challenges, offering a compassionate and steady presence.

I am currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. Prior to entering the counseling field, I worked as a music teacher and earned my undergraduate degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University. My educational experiences drove me to pursue deeper, more meaningful connections with individuals and ultimately led me to become a counselor.

My clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as supporting individuals experiencing trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and challenges with emotional regulation. I am particularly passionate about helping children and caregivers navigate difficult transitions and intense emotions. As a mother of five, I have personal experience with the loss of a parent to suicide and the challenges of raising a medically complex child. These experiences have deepened my empathy and inspire my work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, medical challenges, and the early stages of parenting. I find it meaningful to support clients of all ages as they embrace new roles, care for their well-being, and nurture their relationships while caring for their families.

I am committed to ethical, evidence-based counseling and receive regular supervision to provide thorough care. I see counseling as both a calling and a privilege, and I am honored to support clients as they move toward healing, resilience, and hope.
