This 1-hour training provides mental health clinicians with a practical overview of effective therapy documentation practices. Participants will review common documentation rules and standards, explore different types of clinical notes, including SOAP, BIRP, and narrative progress notes, and examine how documentation choices can impact the client protection, clinical quality, and legal risk. Through real-world case examples, clinicians will learn how to balance thorough, clinically sound documentation with ethical, client-centered care. CEU is approved through the GSCSW and is approved by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists to meet continuing education requirements for licensure. Please see your CEU guidelines to ensure compatibility per licensure type.
This training will be offered in both in-person and virtual formats. The in-person offering will take place at our main office at 225 W. Line St Ste 4, Calhoun, GA 30701. A virtual link will be sent out the day of the training for those who choose to attend virtually.
